47 Chinese Apps banned in India and more apps under scrutiny

47 more Chinese apps banned in India by the IT Ministry as they are clones of apps or similar to those apps that were banned in India later in June 2020.

As per the report by ANI and DD News, India’s IT Ministery has banned 47 Chinese apps that were similar to the 59 Chinese apps that were banned earlier.

The ban was made to safeguard the Indian user’s data and protect the country against digital threats from dangerous data tracking apps.

The banned apps list include Tiktok Lite, Helo Lite, SHAREit Lite, BIGO LIVE Lite and VFY Lite. However, the list of apps that were banned to be released by the Government.

There are also some reports that Indian government has listed more 275 apps and kept under monitoring. The list reportedly includes Ludo World, PUBG Mobile, AliExpress, Resso, ULike and some apps by Xiaomi.
