Edison Mail is one of the popular third party e-mail application. Recently Edison mail rolled out an update to iOS users which ends up with adding this bug in Email Sync. After updating, the most of the users reported that some new email accounts added to their list and they can able to access those email accounts.
Edison mail has not responded to the reports made by users in social media platforms, despite multiple users pointing the same thing. Even it is not affecting the users usage but it is a serious security bug for those who are affected.

After a long time Edison mail responded to a tweet, that they have rolled out that updates and mentioned a small percentage of users got affected and they are reaching out to the affected users.
I just updated @Edison_apps Mail &, after enabling a new sync feature, an email account THAT IS NOT MINE showed up in the app, that I could seemingly axcess completely.

This is a SIGNIFICANT security issue. Accessing another's email w/o credentials! Never trusting this app again.
If you are using Edison Mail application, just change your password to be on saferside.
