Twitter has rolled out a new feature which will automatically puts warning messages on tweets containing misleading information about COVID-19.

It is confirmed that twitter it will puts warning messages on world leaders tweets as well.

Twitter’s head of site integrity, Yoel Roth mentioned “These labels will apply to anyone sharing misleading information that meets the requirements of our policy, including world leaders.

Earlier this year twitter has introduced a new label for Tweets containing synthetic and manipulated media. Similar to this twitter label misleading information about COVID-19.

This warning label will apply to Tweets send before today. When the warning label appears on the Tweets, it will link to a Twitter-curated page or any trusted source containing additional information.

Twitter will take action on these misleading content by diving into the three broad categories. They are misleading information, Disputed Claims and Unverified claims.
